Personal Training Philosophy

I believe that cultivating physical awareness is foundational for learning any physical skill. This awareness helps you understand your body—both as a mental concept and as a physical experience.

It’s in this space where the learning begins, and physical changes start to take root and take shape.

Training Offerings

I work with beginners and intermediates of all genders and ages in the following areas:

  1. Rehab and Postural Awareness: Relearning where and how to place your skeleton in space and in strength exercises to either rehab current injuries or work on old ones.

  2. Strength Training: Developing strength to support daily activities and other physical pursuits.

  3. Weight Training for Hypertrophy: Learn the training tenets for growing muscle tissue and improving muscle balance for an aesthetic physique.

  4. Powerlifting: Mastering the squat, deadlift, and bench press to improve your 1RM.

  5. Skill Development: Focusing on handstands, ring work, locomotion, and coordination.

  6. Flexibility Training: Increasing your range of motion for daily life or achieving specific flexibility goals, such as the bridge, pancake, or front splits.

Food and Lifestyle Coaching

We all have unique experiences, perspectives, skills and knowledge around food, nutrition and eating.

Together, we’ll explore how these inform your current habits and practices and co-create daily practices to support the change you want to see and feel.

As you begin to learn and practice you will see improvements in the following

Physical Well-Being: Improved energy, easier digestion, improved sleep quality, and improved cognitive function.

Your relationship with food and training: This will support a healthier body image, which can improve the emotional experience of you body. Challenge industry myths, and learn the ways to be consistent with training and food goals.

Physical Changes: See changes in your body composition and/or skin/hair/nail quality.

Food Skills: Gain cooking and meal planning skills. Give you new ideas for meals and help you with different ways to grocery shop.

Acquire nutrition knowledge: Understand what foods affect your body, how to balance nutrients and amounts of food, and how to make informed choices that support your goals.
