About Me

My entry into the body was through the arts—dance, theatre, and visual arts—and I continue to practice all of them to this day. They bring me great joy.

Fresh out of high school, I studied Musical Theatre at the VCA for two years and then spent a couple of years pursuing the arts. But I wasn’t enjoying it. I remember the moment so clearly: I was on a run and thought to myself, "I want to help people be healthy."

It was a rudimentary thought, but it sparked a 15-year career in the fitness industry and led me to my second love: teaching.

My teaching practice has been driven by the question, “What’s going on here?” It has been a fruitful companion, fueling my exploration of how the human body moves and is nourished.

Through this question, I’ve developed my knowledge in three key areas: food and lifestyle practices, physical strength, and human psychology.

This thirst for understanding has been quenched through courses, mentorships, my own embodied experiences, and by working with hundreds of individuals.

My path has always been driven by a desire to inhabit my body in different ways and to teach others how to do the same with their own bodies.

I’m currently completing The Body Image Fundamentals with Shannon Bear, a Cert 3 & 4 in Nutrition with Clean Health, and heading into an Advanced Diploma of Visual Arts at Melbourne Polytechnic. I’m also teaching, practicing, and studying Contact Improvisation in Melbourne.
